Objective achieved! Sustainable tourism is more real than ever thanks to electric mobility.

Last week was very special, and it was because we validated a very important goal for us. We were able to validate that Sustainable tourism is a real option, and that it’s just a matter of deciding to live it that way. We were in the marvellous surroundings of the Caminito del Rey, where we did the full journey in our 100% electric vehicles, so we don't generate no harmful emissions for the atmosphere, with the benefits it has for our planet.

And to achieve this milestone, we were accompanied by very special friends, our travel companions thanks to whom we have been able to achieve this goal of promoting sustainability within the tourism sector. A very interesting day where we talked about Tourism innovation, in terms of sustainability, and the role of our electric mobility in validating that it is possible to live and encourage the Sustainable tourism experiences, through our project Green Car Tour.

The Tourism is a sector that moves millions of people within our country alone., with all the implications that this has, but among which we highlight the negative impact it has on the environment and societyPollution, harmful emissions, etc.

Therefore, We need a new way of living and enjoying tourism, one that is aligned with sustainable development goals., through ideas, actions, or initiatives that promote and evolve it into an option available to anyone, because we need this option to exist just as much as we need people who understand the importance, firstly of its existence, and secondly, that understand that sustainable tourism is the choice we must make, for our future and that of all the places we like to visit.

Ultimately, the Sustainable tourism part of the basis of enjoying cities, monuments, museums, excursions, etc. But reducing the negative impact those actions might have on the environment. And we not only believe it's possible, but we have validated that it's a reality through the services we offer at Activacar.

With the action we took last week, Our objective was to validate that sustainable tourism can be a real option. for the public. Specifically, we were at the Caminito del Rey, and we completed the journey in full with 4 electric vehicles of different models and ranges Safamotor Electric.

And we demonstrated that electric vehicles already have sufficient range for journeys like this and even longer ones, and thanks to our technology of Activacar, we were able to obtain data on the kilometres travelled, which allows us calculate the CO2 emissions we stop emitting into the atmosphere, which is undoubtedly the most important milestone of all.

Specifically, for the journey we made there and back to the Caminito del Rey, we did a Total distance of 124 kilometres, and by doing so in our electric vehicles, We stopped emitting a total of 18,972 grams of CO2 And this is with just 3 vehicles! If we extrapolate this to more vehicles and less use of combustion vehicles, we could radically change the future of tourism and other sectors, in terms of sustainability.

For sustainable tourism to be a real option for the general public, we need the public and private sectors to work hand in hand, to provide the necessary facilities and actions for it.

And as we said before, we We have had the best possible help to achieve the objective of being able to validate that a sustainable tourism option is real in Andalusia.

First of all, the Department of Tourism, Regeneration, Justice and Local Administration of the Junta de Andalucía, and especially to Nuria Rodríguez Cubero, the Provincial Delegate for Tourism, which with their tireless support, incentivise the creation of new, innovative tourist products, thanks to which we have been able to create Green Car Tour.

Afterwards, we should also thank Tourism and Planning Costa del Sol, as a destination tourism promotion brand, in addition to being key to accelerating sustainable tourism projects, thanks to its programme Tourism Hub, which seeks to boost innovative tourism projects, and helps us to collaborate with other companies in the sector such as Transfers & Experiences.

And of course, thanks also to Caminito del Rey, Ardales Town Hall, Málaga Provincial Council and Sandwich, for making this possible in their environment, promoting sustainable inland tourism, and putting this destination on the map.

Our idea of sustainable tourism at Activacar
